I am  a highly experienced mental health professional, wrl having been in full time practice since 2001. I am a full member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH)  and am a regular contributor to podcasts at the London Centre for Clinical Hypnosis.

Although I have been interested in mental health issues for as long as I can remember, my early studies were at St Hugh’s College, Oxford where I gained an MA in Modern Languages. I am also an alumna of the Central School of Speech and Drama and worked for 4 years as a Bereavement Counsellor before commencing my Mental Health training.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does treatment cost?

Treatment currently costs £50 per session.

How many treatments will I need?

CBT and Hypnotherapy are short term therapies.

There is no rule for this. Some people who just wish help through an acute crisis may only need a few sessions; others may need longer term therapy. This will always be discussed during your initial consultation where all factors will be borne in mind. An average course is 2 – 5 sessions. For CBT 6 – 12 sessions.

Which treatment is right for me?

This depends on the condition treated. Treatment options are always discussed during your initial consultation.

Are there any side effects to treatments?

Although painful emotions can be experienced, clients find the therapies pleasant and relaxing and leave feeling invigorated and relaxed.

Will it ‘wear off’?

We use a variety of techniques to ensure that the changes you make are long lasting.

What if I can’t by hypnotised?

Most people can be hypnotised. It is a form of relaxation and I am an experienced practitioner who has worked with lots of clients.

How long are the sessions?

Sessions last around an hour.

Can I book online sessions?

Yes, I have a clinic in North London, but I also work remotely. All sessions are secure and confidential.

What things can you help with?

The list of things CBT and Hypnotherapy can help with is extensive, but if you’d like to know if they can help with your problem then please call or email me. Both therapies can treat most problems of a psychological origin.

How do I know if I need CBT or Hypnotherapy?

I often use a combination of the two, with CBT first and then hypnotherapy at the end of the session to help embed the changes we’ve made. However, we can discuss which would work best for you and your issue when you get in touch.

Can I get stuck in hypnosis?

It is not possible for someone to be permanently hypnotised.

What age people to do you work with?

I work with people of all ages, including children, adolescents and adults.
